For some, good handling on the racetrack is a must, for others, a more comfortable ride is more important. We’ve outlined some suggestions and explanations below to help clarify your choices for different systems. The driving features and requirements we had in mind when selecting these components are based on European roads. From speed humps to autobahn speeds, and keeping in mind that in Europe, we have higher demands for ride quality than you’ll find in the US.

2005-2014 Mustang Suspension

The suspension detailed below is for the 2005-2014 Mustang, the 2012-13 BOSS Mustang and the 2007-2014 GT500 Shelby. Similar kits are also available for the 1964-1973 and 1979-2004 and current 2015-2023 models. Actually, the same set-up holds true for all of these Mustangs, but the parts will vary slightly. So if you have a different model year, feel free to get in touch for recommendations.

First, decide which category you’re in:

Category 1: For the driver who wants good handling and the improved look of a lowered car, but not TOO low or suspension that is TOO hard.

Category 2: For the sporty driver who wants good handling while maintaining comfort.

Category 3: For the demanding driver who wants good handling—no compromises.

Category 4: For the most demanding driver, who wants the best handling. You’ll post faster track times with this set than with an Audi R8.

Ordering Mustang suspension parts

If you don’t fit neatly into one of categories listed above, we can always provide custom recommendations for your Mustang chassis or Mustang suspension, no strings attached.

We can’t guarantee how long the labor will take, but under normal circumstances, the estimated hours are usually spot on. Please keep in mind that all parts can be ordered modularly—that is, separately—and assembled separately, too. That means you can spread the costs over time or improve something on your car every year. We can recommend the best order for making improvements.
