Lek Import Cars has more than 25 years of experience tuning Mustangs and American Fords. That means we know exactly what works and what doesn’t. Tuning makes everything possible. The most important thing is your goal for the tune. We look at that first, then decide what would be the best fit, always keeping your budget in mind.

Tuning, chip tuning and Ford Mustang modification

First, we figure out what the car will be used for, and what it’ll be doing in the future. This can be divided into four basic groups: 100% street use with a conservative driving style, 100% street use with a sporty driving style and more demands on the car, a street car for sporty driving and weekends at the racetrack, and finally 100% track use. It goes without saying that we’ll recommend a different mix of parts for each group, even though some of the differences may seem minimal. The car should match the requirements.

We tWe tailor all of our custom tunes to fit the modifications on the car precisely. Custom tunes can also be done on standard cars, which will give your car a much sportier feel. Every tune we sell meets the legal emissions standards! We never make exceptions. Unless the car has no chassis number or license plate and will be driven exclusively on the racetrack.

Ford Mustang email tunes

Our tunes are not the same as the email tunes you buy in the US. The difference is mainly in the way we want the car to shift. We adapt the fuel maps to European gasoline, which has a different composition than the gas in the US.

Since 2011, Lek Import Cars has been an official SCT dealer since 2011. That means we can provide chip tuning or custom tuning for your Mustang or other Amerikaanse Ford.

Mustang Parts

Lek Import Cars supplies all parts—large or small—for all Ford Mustangs and other American cars, regardless of make or age. We sell to individuals, dealers and garages/repair shops at a fixed commission. Send us your wish list, and we’ll let you know the exact cost, including shipping.

Tuning and warranty

We still see too little thought being put into chassis, brake or engine modifications. That means wrong parts are fitted that won’t perform the way you expect. Check our FAQ [LINK NAAR FAQ] for common mistakes or contact us if you have questions.

Keep in mind that tuning will void a factory warranty. Which also means the seller who provided the warranty can’t be held liable for warranty on the complete powertrain. And American models in Europe aren’t covered by factory warranties in any case.

It may go without saying, but it’s important to remember that we also take no responsibility for any damage to the car, block, body or rear axle or third-party damage, it’s always 100% at your own risk. If the factory no longer provides a warranty, neither do we.

The positive side is that more than a 100,000 tuned Mustangs and Fords are on the road, with and without supercharging, usually with no issues, because they aren’t pushing upper limits of power.
